철학을 내세웠지만, 테크트리의 만듦새와 폭력 행사 방식의 특이함이 더 돋보인 게임. 우리편을 키우면 적에게도 이득의 일부가 돌아가고, 적을 조지면 나에게도 피해가 돌아옵니다. 이렇게만 보면 밸런싱이 맞을지도 모르지만, 불행히도 육성과 건설은 내가 수동으로 할 수 있고, 전쟁 수행은 말 오라지게 안 들어처먹는 짐승새기 하나와 솜인형 100마리에게 간접 지시를 내려서 해야 되므로 무조건 착한 게 장땡이고 이득이죠. 이게 선택의 자유를 해치는 단점인지, 제작자의 가치관이 반영된 설계인지는 각자의 판단에 맡깁니다. 일단 밥 잘 먹어놓고 돌아서서 배고프다고 집구석을 부숴먹는 저 소새기 범새기 곰새기는 명백하게 문제입니다.
